Maria Frantzi was born on the Greek island of Rhodos. Her parents were jewellers and perhaps that is the reason she developed such a passion for jewellery. When other children were playing with toys, she preferred to play with jewels in the store. She studied in Thessaloniki and opened her first jewellery workshop in 1988. She later moved to London in 1999 and now supplies jewellery to a range of shops and galleries in Europe, Middle East and the U.S., as well as a growing number of individual clients who discoverd her work via the Internet. has also taken part in a number of European jewellery fairs every year and continues to do so. She is also fascinated by the history of jewellery dating back to our ancient ancestors. Throughout the ages, jewellery has been used to express prestige, power, faith and love.
